Sasquatch 2008 Review

I had ample time to listen to Laurie and Guys's double CD driving to and from Pittsburgh last week, and I loved the collection.  I have discovered several artists that I am eager to check out.  Standouts on these discs for me include Fleet Foxes "White Winter Hymnal", The National's "Fake Empire" and "Secret Meeting", Tegan and Sara's "You wouldn't like me", America's "Yell Fire", and M.I.A.'s "Bird Flu".  The two tracks that are wearing out my car stereo are Beirut's "A Sunday Smile" and Blue Scholars "No rest for the weary" (the keyboard hook in this track is particularly addictive).

I'd love to get another collection like this in 2009.
