RSS ("Really Simple Syndication") works via either a reader or via email.
I read a lot of blogs, and personally don't like to clutter my email with the feeds. Instead, I use Google Reader (actually, I have a iGoogle homepage that has tabs to organize the RSS feeds from blogs of interest). There are many others, though, if you don't like Google.
Bottom line: I don't have to check for new stuff...the system automatically sends it to me.

Hey Manoj. This is the first blog I've ever read, and I (at least used to) feel pretty tech savy. What kind of blogs do you regularly read?
I try to keep up on health care news, health policy, etc.--have to for my job, actually. In this category, I read:
Health Affairs Blog
Health Beat
Health Populi
Health Wonk Review
KaiserNetwork.org:Health Policy Daily Report
Kevin, MD
Managed Care Matters
The Health Care Blog
The Physician Executive
WSJ.com: Health Blog
I also read management & business blogs:
Fast Company
HBS Working Knowledge
Knowledge at Wharton
The Center for Creative Leadership
Strategy + Business
Tom Peters' blog
Seth Godin's blog (a marketing blog)
Finally, I've got a tab called "misc" that includes a whole variety of stuff:
Spin magazine
Rolling Stone
DJ Mag
...and of course WTMMB
The blogs with music, playlists, etc. aren't worth setting up a regular feed...I just search periodically.
I forgot...there is one site that I check out a lot for music.
The Hype Machine (http://hypem.com) follows music blog discussions and pulls them together. It's a great site for checking out (actually listening to) new music.
